Women maintain 100% Home League Record

The Adrian Carberry Women’s side have maintained their 100% league home record with a deserved 2-0 win over a determined Dublin outfit DLR Waves in CelticPark today and consolidate their third position in the Women’s national League. It was the home team who got off to a flyer when Irish International Deirdre Doherty scored from outside the box giving former Celtic player Avril Kilkelly no chance the in visitors goals. It was two nil to the Hoops after 22 minutes when the influential Sarah Rowe drove the ball to the roof of the net from the right of the penalty area. The second half saw both sides create chances but the Celts were happy to hold what they had and ran out deserving winners.
